I actually think Coraline is a brilliant book. I’ve seen the movie, read the original book, and leafed through the graphic novel, and I think Gaiman’s original slender children’s novel is the best incarnation. Sometimes it’s better to imagine, not to see. But it IS scary.

I agree with the button eyes. My kids saw the preview for Coraline and wanted to see it and I said no. Not with those eyes, they look to freaky. I did not think it looked like a kid movie. Now I am intrigued though after reading all your reviews and I think I am going to have to get that book and some others. Happy Halloween!

Not Halloween related but I’m psyched about the new Ender’s Game graphic novel! It’s going to be amazing.
