A Great List of Indies in New York City

Just a quick note to say that New York Magazine has a terrific list of independent bookstores spread out across all the boroughs.  Check it out and if you happen to be heading to New York, visit a bunch and let us know what you think.  Or visit one and write us about it.  Or just visit one and buy some books.

I’m planning to be in New York around the 20th of January…on my way to DC for the “you know what”. I think I’ll check out St Marks Bookshop. When I lived on the Lower eastside of New York (over 20 years ago). I loved going to a bookstore on St. Marks Place whenever I needed a little spirit lifting. Could it be the same store? We’ll see and let you know.
