		<description>By the time a book comes to the used bookstore, the author has already been paid a royalty from the original purchase. Would the consumer purchase a new car over a used one just because they&#039;re conscience-striken over the loss of money to the car manufacturer? I think not. People are looking for the most bang for their buck. 

And as much as we ballyhoo about our carbon footprints these days, if that same car manufacturer offered a gas-guzzling cadillac for $2000, I wonder how many people would opt to go green. As un-PC as it may be, I can see myself cruising in that new 2K caddy right now.</description>
